What Are Chemical Peels?
A chemical peel uses a solution to gently exfoliate the outer layers of the skin. As the skin sheds, new and healthy cells are revealed for smoother texture, improved tone, and collagen stimulation.
VI Peel
The perfect introduction peel for first-timers, the classic VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel that targets pigmentation issues, improves skin texture, and rejuvenates the skin. It combines salicylic acid, lactic acid, and other key ingredients to exfoliate dead skin cells, promoting a brighter, smoother complexion. This peel helps unclog pores, making it ideal for acne-prone skin, while also improving texture and reducing the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin tone. It also encourages cell turnover and overall skin health, leaving the skin looking revitalized and radiant.
VI Peel Advanced
A more intensive version of the VI Peel, VI Peel Advanced includes five targeted blends formulated to address severe hyperpigmentation and deeper skin concerns. The VI Peel Advanced uses a blend of ingredients like salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), and phenol to exfoliate the outer layers and promote cell turnover for a smoother, brighter complexion.
Salicylic acid helps unclog pores and reduce acne, while TCA and phenol penetrate deeper to boost collagen production, improving skin texture and firmness. This peel can also reduce fine lines, sun damage, and uneven skin tone, making it effective for overall skin health and rejuvenation.
BioRePeel
The BioRePeel is a 35% TCA peel utilizing biphasic technology including a blend of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) amino acids, and vitamins to improve skin texture and appearance. Its dual action exfoliates the outer layer of dead skin while penetrating deeper to unclog pores, accelerating cell turnover and revealing fresher skin. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, enhancing firmness and elasticity over time, helps minimize fine lines, uneven texture, and hyperpigmentation. It also includes hydrating ingredients that maintain moisture levels, resulting in plumper, healthier-looking skin and reducing the appearance of acne scars.
Thistle Glow Peel
The Thistle Glow Peel is our in-house compounded peel that combines Retinol and Arbutase ingredients to increase skin cell turnover, improves skin texture and addresses the appearance of hyperpigmentation (dark spots, uneven skin tone). We utilize a medicated masque and an at-home regimen for added benefit. It features the GlowTM Skin Lightening System which is a hydroquinone-free peel procedure designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmented skin and melasma-prone skin.

Before Treatment
In preparation for your peel treatment, we recommend that you discontinue use of products containing retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) a week before treatment. Avoid sun exposure a week before treatment.
During Treatment
After thoroughly reviewing your medical history and pre-treatment questionnaire, we’ll start by cleansing the face and begin applying the peel solution in layers. During the treatment, you may feel a slight stinging or burning sensation. A hand-held fan is provided for optimal comfort. Additional aftercare instructions will be provided depending on the peel that you receive.
After Treatment
VI Peel: You may expect redness, flakiness, and peeling for up to 14 days post-treatment. Peak peeling is typically days 3 to 5 post-treatment. Pro Tip: Schedule your peel on a Wednesday so that peak peeling is done through the weekend!
BioRePeel/Thistle Glow Peel: Minimal to slight flakiness can be expected with some possible redness and itchiness that progressively improves throughout the following days.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pair peels with other treatments?
Yes! We love pairing a wrinkle relaxer treatment with any of the chemical peels for added benefits. This treatment is referred to the ToxBooster treatment. Additionally, we love pairing our SkinPen microneedling with a BioRePeel for maximum collagen stimulation and rejuvenation.
What is a ToxBooster treatment?
ToxBooster is a power-duo treatment combining a chemical peel with neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, Daxxify) to boost overall skin quality and minimize fine lines for a brighter, more rejuvenated complexion.
Chemical peels exfoliate the skin, promote cell turnover, and stimulate collagen production, leading to a smoother, more even complexion. Neuromodulators temporarily relax facial muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming.
Together, these treatments create a dynamic-duo effect, with the peel improving skin quality to enhance the results of the neurotoxin, ultimately providing a more comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation.
How often can I receive a peel?
Depending on your goals and concerns, the number of treatments varies per individual. For a more aggressive approach, peels can be booked every 3 to 4 weeks.
Can I workout after a peel?
We recommend working out before your appointment as your skin may be sensitized after your treatment.
When can I resume my skincare after a peel?
Avoid retinols and exfoliating ingredients until your skin is back to baseline (about 7 to 10 days after treatment).
