SOLARIA CO2 LASER
Reveal smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin with advanced laser technology without the downtime of traditional CO2 lasers.
What Is Solaria CO2 Fractional Resurfacing?
Solaria CO2 fractional skin resurfacing uses precise, microscopic beams of energy to target areas of damaged or aging skin. These controlled micro-injuries remove the outermost layers of dull, uneven skin while stimulating deep collagen remodeling, leading to firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin over time.
Because Solaria treats only a fraction of the skin in each session, healing is faster, more comfortable, and more predictable than traditional CO2 lasers which makes it an ideal choice for patients seeking powerful results with manageable downtime. It’s an excellent option for those wanting to address:
- Fine lines and deeper wrinkles
- Acne scars and textural scarring
- Sun damage and pigmentation
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven skin tone
- Skin laxity
- Rough, crepey skin
- Overall dullness and texture irregularities
Our providers tailor each treatment to your skin’s unique needs for full face rejuvenation.
How Solaria Works
This process:
- Removes damaged surface cells
- Triggers fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin
- Tightens the skin from within
- Encourages fresh, healthy skin to replace older, uneven layers
Over the following weeks, your skin becomes smoother, firmer, brighter, and more refined with continued improvement up to several months post-treatment.
Before Treatment
In preparation for your Solaria CO2 Laser treatment, we recommend that you refrain from taking any blood thinning medications or supplements such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, vitamin E, and fish oil. No recent sun exposure or self-tanning creams for about 3 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Discontinue use of products containing retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) a week before treatment. Please arrive to your appointment with clean skin. There should be no makeup (including mascara), lotion, perfume, powder, or oil on the skin being treated.
During Treatment
After thoroughly reviewing your medical history and pre-treatment questionnaire, we’ll start by cleansing the face and applying a topical numbing cream for your comfort. Protective goggles will be provided before we begin. We will make multiple passes of the Solaria CO2 Laser to ensure precise delivery of energy to create microscopic channels in the skin. The controlled micro-injuries kick start your body’s natural healing process and stimulate collagen production.
After Treatment
Your skin will appear flushed and red, similar to a mild sunburn, immediately after the procedure. Some swelling and mild peeling is common and typically resolves within a few days. Our team will provide a full post-treatment plan to support healing and optimize results. As your skin heals, you’ll notice smoother texture, evening of tone, and a beautiful natural glow. Your results continue to improve over the next few weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Solaria painful?
Most patients tolerate this treatment well. A strong topical numbing cream is applied beforehand. The treatment is often described as a slight warm, sparkler sensation. Discomfort is brief and manageable.
What is my downtime?
Your specific downtime depends on treatment depth. Slight redness and texture can linger for several weeks but is easily covered with makeup or a tinted SPF once you are cleared to do so by your provider.
- Light/moderate treatment: 3–5 days of redness
- Deep treatment: Up to 10–14 days of healing
Hoe many treatments will I need?
Many patients see dramatic results after one treatment, but depending on goals and skin condition, 1–3 sessions may be recommended.
When will I see results?
Most patients begin to notice early improvements within 7-10 days as the skin heals and reveals a smoother, brighter appearance. Over the following 6-12 weeks, your results continue to improve as new collagen is produced. The most exciting changes happen behind the scenes as collagen remodeling can continue for up to 6 months, meaning your skin will keep improving long after your treatment is complete.
Who is NOT a good candidate?
Unfortunately, this treatment is not suitable for expecting mommas. Additionally, individuals with active skin infections, a current or recent illness, or certain auto-immune conditions may need to postpone or avoid treatment.
