Over the past eight years, our community has watched us grow from a small practice into a destination for advanced aesthetic care in Stafford. Along the way, we’ve introduced new technology, expanded our team, welcomed so many wonderful clients, and continued raising the standard for what a medical spa experience can feel like. To celebrate this milestone, we created our 8 Wonders of Thistle, a series that shares the people, philosophy, and purpose behind everything we do.
Wonder 1 | Aubry’s Dream That Became a Reality
A note from our owner:
“Hi, I’m Aubry Blais, MSN, FNP-C, CANS, founder and Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner at Thistle Medical Aesthetics. My career actually started at Walter Reed where I was an Army Nurse. I’m incredibly proud of serving my country. Eventually my path led me into aesthetics, and after nearly 20 years in this field, I absolutely love the way it brings together science, artistry, and caring for people. I’ve always been drawn to art, hospitality, and creating spaces where women feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for.
Aesthetics gave me a way to bring all of those pieces together and that’s how my dream and creative outlet started! When I imagined Thistle, I wanted it to bring a “girl next door” approach to our community where women felt cared for, educated, and supported. Our goal is that you know you always have a team supporting you, guiding you honestly, and giving you the tools to care for your skin in an attainable, empowering way.
We opened our doors in 2018 just two days a week. It was a small beginning but our community embraced us quickly. Over the last eight years, we’ve grown our team, expanded our services, moved into a new space, and have had the privilege of caring for so many incredible women through every season of life.
What I’m most proud of are the relationships we’ve built, the team we’ve created and the trust you all have placed in us. That’s something I’ll never take lightly. Thank you for being part of our story. We’re so grateful for these last 8 years and we’re just getting started!”
Wonder 2 | The Women Behind Every Experience: Our Team
We believe exceptional care begins before your first treatment. It begins when we answer the phone, welcome you with a cheery smile as you walk into the studio, and all of the moments in between. Every member of our team shares the same commitment to creating a welcoming experience where our clients feel heard and supported.
Behind the scenes, our team is constantly learning, collaborating, and sharing treatment pearls so every client benefits from the collective knowledge of our providers. By surrounding ourselves with a team who share our values and commitment to exceptional care, we’ve created a culture that continues to define the Thistle experience.
Wonder 3 | Redefining What a Medical Spa Can Feel Like
When you think of a clinic or medical space, you may picture a space that’s gray, sterile, and impersonal. Thistle was designed to feel like the exact opposite! From the arches to the warm wood elements, every detail was carefully curated to make the space feel beautiful and full of life. We wanted the experience to feel elevated from the moment you walk in, but still relaxed enough that you can take a breath and feel at ease. Each room has its own theme and personality, giving every corner of Thistle a sense of inspiration, wonder, and meaning.
Wonder 4 | Each Treatment Room Has a Different Meaning
One question we hear all the time is, “What is the meaning behind the artwork in each treatment room?” The inspiration started after Aubry visited a local lounge with fun, unexpected artwork that had a bold and playful personality. She knew she wanted that same kind of energy here at Thistle! To make the dream a reality, Aubry worked closely with an Italian artist blending traditional art, history, and playful pop art elements to design pieces that felt fun and modern.
Our Oyster Room is inspired by the phrase “the world is your oyster.” It represents possibility, growth, and the idea that beautiful things often come from pressure, patience, and grit. (No grit = no pearl) We love helping women feel confident enough to show up fully for their lives, believe in what’s possible, and recognize the beauty that’s been forming within them all along.
The Champagne Room, aka “you look like a million bucks” room is all about confidence. When you feel good in your own skin, you carry yourself differently. You feel powerful, capable, and like a force to be reckoned with. That’s the feeling we want our clients to always leave with!
The Thinker room is inspired by Rodin’s famous sculpture paired with Aubry’s favorite song lyrics from the late 90s alternative girl band Luscious Jackson, “wearing nothing is divine, naked is a state of mind.” This represents shedding outside expectations, softening the pressure to be anything other than ourselves, and reflecting on our individuality.
Our “It’s Giving Venus Energy” room celebrates femininity, softness and the different ways women feel beautiful.
The artwork in our marketing office is inspired by Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, paired with the words “imagination meets creation.” This room represents creativity, where ideas and stories come to life, and our imagination turns into reality.
Each room was designed to create feelings of possibility, confidence, individuality, femininity, and joy. It serves as a reminder that investing in yourself can feel beautiful, empowering, and fun.
Wonder 5 | Raising the Standard with Advanced Technologies
Aesthetic medicine is always evolving, with new techniques and technologies emerging every year. At Thistle, continuing education is non-negotiable and part of our culture. Our team participates in ongoing training, monthly case reviews, safety discussions, and shared treatment pearls so every provider continues to grow in clinical expertise and patient safety.
Every treatment we offer has been clinically studied, FDA cleared, and thoroughly vetted by our medical team before it reaches our treatment menu. Our providers take the time to review your medical history, contraindications, and goals to make sure you are a safe and appropriate candidate before treatment. Our goal is to help you feel informed, comfortable, safe, and confident in the care you receive. You can feel confident that your safety is our top priority and continuing education will always be part of our commitment of excellence to you!

Wonder 7 | Growing Alongside Stafford
Community has always been at the heart of everything we do. Our local community has shown up for us, grown with us, and allowed us to create a space right here in Stafford where women feel cared for, educated, and confident. In return, we hope to continue pouring back into the community. We love partnering with women-owned small businesses, creating fun and educational events that bring people together and help our clients feel more informed in their skin and aesthetic journey, and supporting local vendors. We’re also honored to give back whenever we can, especially to local nonprofits and causes that support the people right here in our community. Our hope is always to create an experience that feels welcoming and uplifting.
As we continue to grow, our goal is to keep helping elevate Stafford, champion the women around us, and serve our clients and neighbors with heart and empowerment. We’re so grateful to be part of this growing community and even more grateful for the people in it.
Wonder 8 | The Next Chapter
Looking back on the past eight years still feels a little surreal. It’s one of those pinch-us moments that reminds us just how far this journey has taken us and how grateful we are for every person who has been part of it. We’ve welcomed an extraordinary team, expanded into a beautiful new space, introduced advanced technologies, and built incredible relationships and friendships with many women and men who have trusted us with their care. To everyone who has walked through our doors, shared your story, cheered us on, or trusted us with your skin, we want to express our sincerest gratitude!
So, what’s in store for us? Our vision is to continue raising the standard for aesthetic medicine by investing in education, embracing innovation with discernment, expanding the ways we care for our clients, and creating experiences that continue to surprise and delight. We want Thistle to be known as the practice where women feel celebrated, where our honest guidance always comes before sales, and where confidence is nurtured through every stage of life.
